Indiana James is a retro point-and-click adventure game for PC inspired by the classic early 90's Lucas Arts games such as Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle. The idea was to create a game in homage to their style, but base it on more familiar territory in a contemporary setting. I grew up with these games and they are what inspired me to want to be a games programmer from such a young age - it was really fun to work on this - especially recording the dialogue.

Made in just 10 days, the story follows Westminster University student James Wayland as he strives to get back his coursework which he has handed in unknowing that it has been corrupted.

My role in the project was programmer, animator and character artist, with Chris Pritchard as another programmer and James Wayland as main artist.

The gameplay involves different styles of puzzles such as: searching for objects, interacting with multiple characters and combining inventory items.

The game world is made up different university locations, with the environments and character graphics pixelated to keep with the traditional style of the older games.

It features voice acting for characters as well as original music rendered by sound engineer Tim Vasilakis.
